2017-You’re done.

I am declaring 2017 over…so if there is any way I do not have to document the year please lmk because nothing else should have to exist in this time and space. If we have can an age of Aquarius or whatever where we are in some x dimension for a little bit, I am all for it. I’ve said it on Twitter and I’ve seen others say it on Twitter-this year has been confused…very, very confused. I look back and I say–WOW, a lot of good happened, and a lot of bullshit happened.  So do we end up neutral? Do we end up with a (+) or do we end up (—)? This obviously will differ for each of us, but I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess many are closer to the neg or neutral side of the spectrum. If you do come out positive you get all the snaps, because something really freaking great happened. For some of those near and dear to me, there are some great things I was in a wedding, went to a few more, and some brought or will be bringing new life into this world. But on the flip side, a lot of some major changes occurred that weren’t so pretty.

For better or for worse, family has been a major focus in my realm in 2K17. I did have a lot of opportunity to see the fam outside of the standard holiday circuit. Some reasons were way better than others, but either way, our relationships strengthened. This in itself was a blessing this past year, and I can only hope it set a foundation for the years to come. There is definitely a lot of goodness to come so I look forward to it entering to love and unity–or some sort of semblance of these things.

Aside from that, I guess  I could go into the other realms we normally use to assess our QOL (quality of life) and achievements–professional (that’s a whole ‘nother blog), romance (moving on), and health and wellness (ya girl’s A1C and Lipids are on the decline and SSRIs are a GODSEND ~holla~), and other hobbies. I used a passion planner this year for the first time and chose to get another for 2018. I like the ability to reflect, goalset, and be inspired. It was an interesting occurence every time the quote/challenge of the week was relevant in my life on the exact week it was located in the planner. Which makes me wonder how many people are in the same spot I am in and are we all just on one big continuum/cycle? Are there underlying societal ebbs and flows? Well there is Mercury Retrograde which definitely throws everyone in for a loop—more on that in another post. But 2017 saw some HEAVY astronomical events–we had super moons, harvest moons, THE ECLIPSE, and I’m sure other things such as discoveries of new planets and another modification by Stephen Hawking (he fascinates me, btw).

One also cannot seem to do much without shaking up another party, so may we all loosen up a smidge in 2018 (I’m also going to say I still occasionally read my years as “two thousand” as opposed to “twenty). May we read, listen to music, watch and play sports, travel, and just leave 2017 behind. Because it sucked, a lot. Even with all the good, the bad seems to numb us of enjoying it. And I, for one, have had it. So with 9 days left, I am calling it quits. Sure, you can ask me why I decided to start this blog in 2017. But let me tell ya–I was not about to wait for the ceremonious start of 2018/ for 2017 to decide its over to get this show on the road. I’ve literally been thinking in blog posts because I’ve been wanting to blog. Therefore, I claim my own space and declare this the end to a terrible, horrible, no good very bad year (name that Book–yeah I READ). So long, farwell, Auf Wiedersehen, Adieu. GOODBAI FELICIA. Sayonara. Hasta la vista. 2017. #THEOLDYEARISDEAD.
